Frustrated at not sailing, I drove down with hope than conviction and was greeted by a couple of Colchester sailors planing off the spit. Rigged 8.5m and was nicely powered. Started grey then sun came out, Squiz and Swainey joined me and we had a nice sail off the spit. Sea was quite flat to start with then small chop came along and as tide rand got harder to stay upwind.
